Terms of Service is a fiction book written by Craig W. Stanfill. Kim stands out as the major character in this story. She was a young college graduate who studied a course related to artificial intelligence. So she desired to continue her career path in an artificial intelligence company after her graduation. Luckily for her, she gets employed by one. She was satisfied with her new job because she thought her duties would be to investigate different cases. Entering the conference room as instructed by Supervisor Jan for the job sensitization, she and the other staff were told to arrest some people for illegally keeping children that were meant to be with their mentors. As the investigation was still going on, she encountered something strange and mystical that scared her off from proceeding with the task. Kim's mental health afterward began to deteriorate. She is left with the decision of resigning from her job or searching for the company's secret.

A lot of things in this book pleased me. Aside from the career aspect of Kim's life, she had a good social life. Raphael, who had a higher position in the company where she worked, made her feel at home because of the engaging conversations they always had. She occasionally hung out with Jael just to have fun. Kim confided more in Shan, her best friend. Just imagine having that one friend who relates to your fears, moodiness, and pains. It comes with an exhilarating feeling. This was exactly how Kim felt whenever she was with her friend, Shan. They spent a good part of their time hanging out and having heart-to-heart conversations. Shan knew why Kim lost interest in the job because they both encountered some men at the pack who acted suspiciously. Hence, she didn't feel alone. In addition, the part that explained the ethics of the artificial intelligence company appealed to me because it enlightened me on how their system works.

One might think that Kim wasn't committed to her job. However, she was a very diligent person who excellently executed the tasks given to her before things fell apart. Furthermore, the details of Kim's love life experiences were given. Do you think her love-life journey has been a successful one? The writer revealed the answer in this book. The grammar construction in this book was amazing. Words were used in their right contexts, and this is quite commendable.

I rate this book five out of five stars. I disliked nothing in it. The editing was dutifully carried out. It was edited exceptionally well. No errors were discovered. It also made me realize that issues concerning mental health shouldn't be taken lightly because bad mental health can ruin a lot of beautiful things. Kim didn't find the job attractive again because it stopped giving her happiness.

Do mystery thrillers and fictional books interest you? Do you prefer reading stories whose characters aren't real? Do you love books whose plot centers on artificial intelligence? Are you someone who doesn't joke about topics relating to mental health? If you feel these themes strongly resonate with you, I recommend this book specifically to you.
