We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is a fantasy book that introduces us to a powerful nation called Voulhire. Voulhire is a kingdom ruled by king Wilhelm Arcolo who struggles to keep his rule from the hungry Mianoran Council and the former Hillport evil lord Meldorath, whom everyone thinks is dead. After suffering from trauma caused by its previous lords, Orlin and Meldorath, the King appoints former Soulhire judge Eldus Alderman as Hillport town's new lord. Lord Eldus has to help the people of Hillport recover from the cruelty of its previous lords and change Hillport into a great shipping network. Still, little does he know the presumed dead lord Meldorath is alive and planning a terrible revenge.

The book narrates the story of a young man Galen Bray who escapes from a war-torn hometown, the land of Princes. Before his death, his great-uncle had ordered Rowan to search for Galen so that he could inherit all of his businesses. Galen is received warmly by the people of Magnum Caelum in Voulhire, where his great-uncle lived. He knows nothing about forging, but Rowan helps him, and together they transform the forge.

I loved everything about this book; the story is captivating and exciting. The author's writing skills are impressive; the way the author created this imaginary world where magic, religion, and science exist together and described everything in detail is quite riveting. Although it had many characters, the character was well developed, making them believable. I also loved the author used a glossary with names and meanings to give the reader a better understanding of the story. Finally, I loved the use of a map at the beginning of the book to show us how these towns are located in Voulhire.

The plot is engaging and thought-provoking. The story contains magic, war, politics, and mysteries that the reader will find pretty interesting. The language used is simple, flawless, and easy to understand. The author did a good job writing this book; it is worth reading.

I disliked nothing about this book. On the contrary, the book was fascinating. Furthermore, I did not find any grammatical errors; therefore, the book was exceptionally edited. However, it contains some offensive words.

I am glad to rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because of its splendid editing and creativity. The book was well-written, and the author did an amazing job. I would also rate the book 5 out of 5 stars.

I recommend this book to readers who love fantasy books, as We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies will not disappoint.
