A world of magic, knights, and ancient kingdoms with a hint of modernity. We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is a great work of fiction that captures the imagination of a reader like no other. 

Voulhire is a kingdom like no other. The book takes us through the politics, social, cultural, and economic activities of this kingdom. Galen is from "the land of the princes" and comes to Voulhire to inherit his uncle's estate. Meanwhile, the small town of Hillport is facing numerous challenges after having to change lords in a matter of months. The king sends his friend to turn the fortunes of this troubled town. Will Lord Eldus succeed in this endeavor? Meldorath is a name that strikes fear in the hearts of the citizens, despite being one of the former lords of Hillport. What is he capable of? To find out, get yourself a copy of this amazing book.

There are numerous things to admire about this book. There are a lot of things happening simultaneously, yet the author has found a way to utilize suspense to great effect. Different things are happening all at once in different parts of the kingdom. I also loved how the author went to great lengths to describe Voulhire in detail. These elucidations help the reader create a mental picture. Another positive aspect of the book is how the plot line and characters are developed, with one event leading to the next, leaving no room for confusion. It wouldn't be fair to not applaud the editors of the book, who did an exceptional job, thereby contributing to the overall beauty of this magnificent work.

This is an amazing book, but for positive criticism, I will say the only aspect I did not like about the book was the words from this fictional kingdom. I found some a little hard, hence making me constantly refer back to previous names. In all other aspects, the book was wonderful, and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

There is a small issue with word spacing in the book, but it didn't warrant me deducting a point, so I rate the book 5 out of 5 stars. The book is comprehensive, and the author has found a way to make the book entertaining despite the many storylines. I recommend the book to people who love magic and fiction.
