Terms of Service: Subject to Change Without Notice by Craig W. Stanfill practically plunges you into the future and thrills you while at it. In the book, the exciting prevalence of AI comes with the ability to strip people of their freedom and privacy. This was made possible because every move a person made was monitored by the AI.

Kim, the principal character, leads her life with an intrusion. However, she did this without satisfaction. In her society, one was controlled by this AI. No one had the liberty of acting as he or she would. Furthermore, failure to abide by the dictates of the AI meant subjection to imprisonment, where continual hard labor was the order of the day. Although the AI technology made life smooth for Kim, coupled with the fact that she was climbing up the ladder in the AI company where she worked, she still could not deny that she needed a way out. Though relevant in her career, it could not fill up the emptiness she felt inside. Something happens, and she begins to realize most of the things she knew were wrong. Would she survive a breakout?

I particularly liked that the novel was fast-paced and effortlessly captivating. It makes the kind of read that takes over your thoughts, even when you are going about your day. The author gave us an experience of what an AI-optimized world should look like, and I somehow could not help longing for one, at least for the good sides of it. The book is replete with emotional moments brought to light by Kim's life experiences and the circumstances of her past.

I was also thrilled by the simple but thorough way the book was written. Through the plot, the story, and the names of characters and concepts, one cannot help but admit that the author, Craig W. Stanfill, an expert in Artificial Intelligence, is indeed intelligent. For example, the smart weekdays are not the usual Monday to Friday; it is labeled oneday, twoday, till the end of the week, sevenday. This and other creative concepts in the novel made it such a lovely book to read.

In this book, I didn't notice any errors. This proves that the novel was perfectly edited. Also, the book has a large dose of erotic scenes, and it is not suitable for non-adults. This aside, the novel is perfect, and the conclusion worked in me the longing to read the sequel and more novels from the author. I will easily rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. There was nothing that I disliked about this book.

I recommend this novel to everyone who wishes to have an interesting insight into Artificial Intelligence. Also, it will resonate with freedom fighters and those who stand up for the truth no matter the odds.
