Dragonswood is an adventurous story of a strong willed teenage girl. At a young age Tess was drawn to the woods outside her town. These woods were thought to draw in witches so they were forbiden to enter. Tess and two of her friends enter the woods to pick berries and were seen. So they are forced to run by a witch hunter. Along the way Tess meets a handsome and mysterious stranger. She is wary of him wanting most to protect her friends.

This book was an amazing read. I did not want to put it down. It is like you are pulled into the mind of the characters and also into their heart. I could feel Tess's love for her friends, her will to protect them and her confusion of this stranger. I would recemend this book to teens who love reading about dragons, fearies, lost princes and adventure.
