A modern classic by Craig Stanfill, Terms of Service gives us a glimpse of how authoritarian societies could employ harsh measures made possible by digital technologies. It delivers an incisive critique of how government and industry are now affecting society. This engrossing fictional tale puts to the test the concepts of illusion vs. reality and moral leadership. The functionality of what we currently refer to as an "algorithm" is logical and could someday be practical. The corruption of the ruling elite is also shown in the novel. This lends the tale credibility. The detailed descriptions of each operating robot's and AI's characteristics allow readers to picture a realistic reading experience. The use of drugs, drunkenness, violence, death, and sex are among the topics of the novel.

Law and order are strictly preserved in the universe of the main character, Kim, and society is kept running smoothly by the all-knowing AIs. At the artificial intelligence company where she supervises and develops automatons or AIs, Kim is a rising star. She discovers a new work opportunity that propels her even more into the centre of the power that is ruling society after making some mistakes that don't exactly reflect well on her.

In this dystopian future, all ideas of individuality are viewed as negative or "selfist" traits. The consequences for breaking the rules are immediate and can be severe depending on the severity of the infraction. While small infractions are frequently more irksome and bothersome, serious issues may result in hard work outside of the community.

As a fan of dystopian fiction, this novel met my expectations. The book's discussion of the idea that dictatorships may deploy artificial intelligence to keep their populations under control struck me as particularly intriguing. The book's opening was also pretty strong and enticing. I enjoyed reading this book because I could visualize the events as they were happening in my thoughts.

I was disturbed by how sluggish the reading initially was. It may have been clearer and shorter to write the introduction, in my opinion. I did, however, begin to become invested in the story and its use of AI.

I gave this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. This is because I found the book to be quite fascinating and captivating. I also found the main character to be intriguing. The book was exceptionally well-edited and error-free. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy dystopian future stories, fantasy, and thrillers, as well as people who find sci-fi novels interesting.
