We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is a sort of historically kind of book which tells the story of Galen Bray who escapes his hometown and settles in a new country, Voulhire. In Voulhire he learns new things about the cournty, the world and his old home. After some time he begins to understand the relationship that humanity has to the universe and nature and that some people will always look for mightiness and others for demolition. Even with all those new things that Galen learns in this, to him, new world, he begins to slowly fall in love with it.

I really liked reading the book, even though I thought I didn't like historically themed books. It didn't take long for me to be invested in the story. I especially liked how the author introduced every important character before the book even started, with just a few sentences about who they were. That way I felt like it was easier to dive into the story rather than having to figure out every character. I also liked that there was a map of Voulhire included, as well as some information about the world. At the end of the book there was also a glossary of terms that were being used in Voulhire for the readers to understand the world even better. I really look forward to the other books of the series

I believe the book was professionally edited, as I didn't notice any spelling mistakes. The language in itself seemed at some points like it was from another time, which I found excellent, since the book is located in a whole different world.

All in all I would rate We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies 5 out of 5 stars because the story is very interesting to read and I really liked the philosophy behind the story. The fact that the author took their time to create a glossary so that the reader could understand how things were being handled in Voulhire is amazing.

I would recommend the book to people above the age of 13 as I believe that it might be a bit too difficult to understand for children. Even if someone doesn't really like nonfiction and historic books, this one is still a very good one and I can only recommend it.
