In recent years, there has been a widespread use of artificial intelligence in different fields of study. If this growth is left unchecked, artificial intelligence might literally rule the world. Terms of Service, written by Craig W. Stanfill, revolves around the idea that one day the chain of command might flip and artificial intelligence could be in charge while we, the humans, would offer servitude to them.

Set in a dystopian era, this book centers on a world under the total dictatorship of an AI. It demands that people wear gender-neutral clothing. It feeds them, deciding what they eat and when they eat it. The AI also assigned a general pronoun to the people; everyone is referred to as "her," and only the AI is allowed to use the pronoun "I." It also tells them who they could and could not have sexual intercourse with, and it assigns tasks to the people, giving each person a purpose. Kim works for a company that is responsible for training the artificial intelligence, and one day she accidentally does something that wasn't scripted. She expected a counter response from the AI, but somehow it glitched and she never got reprimanded for her actions. Kim would go on to unravel deep, dark secrets about the AI and also her existence, but how will she take this new-found truth? This book provides the answer to this question.

I've always been a fan of post-apocalyptic and dystopian themes, so I fell in love with this book right from the beginning. What I loved about the book was the author's creativity about the dystopian era, and he was able to transfer this creativity into writing, thereby giving the reader a wild imagination while reading this book. The locations were quite colorful, and I found the adventures and discoveries made by Kim quite exciting.

I didn't find anything to dislike about the book, and I believe nobody is perfect when it comes to writing about the perceived future, whether it's dystopian or post-apocalyptic. We haven't experienced such an era yet, so it would be mean to criticize someone who's just trying to be creative with such themes. At the end of the book, I came to realize that there was a sequel, and I am really looking forward to reading it.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I couldn't find anything wrong with this book to rate it otherwise. This book is therefore error-free and was properly edited. I recommend this book for people who love science fiction and are interested in artificial intelligence. I am also recommending this book for those who love to read books that are set in a dystopian era.

Leaving in a world where everything you do is being monitored can be tiresome at times. The books title and the content was a perfect match.
