There comes a time when everyone, man or woman, craves power, and even if most people don't show it, they can't deny their feelings. The harsh reality is that, while everyone wants to rule, they may not do so well; some negativity may enter the picture, and leaders appear to exhibit wickedness, greed, and a variety of other characteristics. We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is a story set in the Kingdom of Voulhire.

The ruler of the Land of Princes was also called the Emperor of Lullabies. He had four sons who were heirs to the throne; when the ruler discovered his sons' plot to overthrow him, he decided to give each of his sons lands and soldiers. With the desire for power, the Emperor's sons started a civil war, which continued for years. This war affected the economy, and many people died of starvation and poverty.

Galen had fled to Magnum Caelum from the Land of Princes, where his uncle had left him some inheritance. He was curious about how his uncle ended up in the city and wished he had arrived before his uncle passed away. When Galen arrived in the town of Magnum Caelum, he met with the mayor, who had been introduced to him by the port master. Then he went to have supper in the town's local inn, called Tipsy Trollop, where he met his companion, Rowan. Get this book for an exciting story about the Kingdom of Voulhire.

I liked this book for various reasons, such as the Kingdom of Voulhire came from the creative imagination of Matthew. Matthew told the story in such a way that I read the book without confusion, and anytime I needed to know any character's role, I referred to the character's page since he had already done a special introduction of the book's characters and their roles. Matthew also knew how to get his readers to think the way he wanted them to. I understood everything he said just by reading what he wrote.

One thing I disliked was the Emperor's decision because he allowed it to affect his people, which showed that he was selfish as a leader. I recommend this book to people who love fantasy stories and have good imaginations. I encountered a few errors while reading this book, which shows that We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz was professionally edited. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because it shows Matthew's great creativity.

Only if there was a way to to totally eradicate all the evil leaders in the world, then I fee everyone would have had people. The lust for power is so annoying and people can literally kill for it .

What an irony, the emperor of lullabies turning out to be the total opposite of the message his name sends out. Excellent job on your review. I look forward to reading more.

I feel that as a leader we should not make decisions which would affect your people. I agree with you that the emperor was selfish, he had achieved his aim and should have stopped the civil war.

The Emperor of Lullabies was a selfish leader and has no interest of his people at heart and I really would love to know how this ended.

I don't usually read science fiction books so thought I would challenge myself with this book. I had to do a lot of studying to get the hang of the characters, universes, and terminology. Was it worth the effort? Definitely! Matthew Tysz did a commendable job in building up an entirely different and magical world. Although it was a lot of information, it is worth the read. Thank you for your review. I found your point of view most interesting.

The inclusion of violent scenes and sexual assault references may be a concern for some readers, but it's important to remember that these are serious issues that can't always be ignored in fiction.

The fact that the book is suitable for both adults and young adults could make it a great choice for family reading or book clubs. The book's themes of power and wealth could make it an interesting read for fans of political thrillers and historical fiction as well as fantasy.

This book will show how power list and greed could ruin a family and lead to negative things like war and bloodshed. This review shows that you actually enjoyed reading this novel.
