What would you do if you found out that there was another dimension to your world and you had access to it? Jim Geigoryan hired Stephanie McIntyre, a private investigator, to find his missing employee, Matt. On finding Matt, Stephanie discovers the reason why he had gone missing in the first place. Matt, a scientist, had built a portal generator which created access to another dimension of the world.

Jim Geigoryan, a self-acclaimed prosecutor of God, has made it his objective wipe out the LGBTQ community in both dimensions, and he doesn't care if everyone on earth is affected as long as he achieves his purpose. Stephanie, the protagonist, is caught in the net and has to fight for her community since she’s a transgender woman. She's faced with a lot of challenges and betrayals in the course of saving the world. How does Stephanie intend to fight this battle? How does Geigoryan intend to wipe out humanity? Who would win?

The Requium Report is a good science fiction and thriller novel. It consists of 377 pages divided into 25 chapters. Each of the first 23 chapters begins with a quote which gives the reader a hint about the chapter. The author, Alison Demzon writes this book from the protagonist's point of view. Besides the science fiction part of the book, it also explains the challenges faced by transgenders and homosexuals. For instance: Stephanie often had to correct people about her pronoun. She was often referred to as a 'he' instead of 'she'.

One of the things I like about the book is how realistic it felt, regardless of being a science fiction book. For instance: Religious fanatics who do what they want, then disguise them in the name of what their god wants. Jim Geigoryan claimed to be personally told by God to destroy the world like Sodom and Gomorrah in the Bible, but this was only what Jim wanted and not God. I learnt a lesson while reading this book and that lesson is that sexuality or gender doesn't define a good or a bad human being.

I found this book entirely spectacular. The plot was well organized and the characters were well developed. The thriller scenes were very exciting and well described. I could imagine them in my mind. I was also glad to meet some characters such as CompTeza, the protagonist's girlfriend. She was always cheerful and always ready to fight. Red was another character I liked. She was a selfless person and dedicated herself to helping other people, even if it made her inconvenient.

This book was professionally edited with well-described events. Therefore, I’m giving it 5 out of 5 stars because I hated nothing about it. I've always viewed science fiction books as boring until I read The Requium Report, so I recommend this book for all adults who enjoy reading, and not just sci-fiction and thriller fans only. There is no romance in this book.
