Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
Are you a lover of fantasy and a little bit of action in your reading? Do you likewise take pleasure in discovering new locations and adventures? Then you should read this book. The fantasy book, We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is sure to keep you engrossed in the story due to its engaging plot.
An immigrant from the Lands of the Princes named Galen Bray departs from his homeland on his way to Voulhire, where he plans to reside. Towards the beginning of the novel, he meets Rowan, the person in charge of handling his late uncle's fortune, and they become close. Galen meets many new people and locations thanks to Rowan. He also assists Rowan in learning the skills, expertise, and supplies required to start his career as a blacksmith and thereby carry on his late uncle's mantle. Galen gains knowledge about the monarchs, the stories surrounding Voulhire, and the history of the new location he plans to live in along his travels. What more will Galen discover in this enigmatic place?
There are a few aspects of this book that I found intriguing. I adored how the author in this book was able to develop both his characters and the surroundings. I also appreciated reading the perspectives of other characters since it made me feel like I was a part of the story. The reader was further captivated by the writing's clarity and precision. I also like that the glossary was there both at the beginning and the conclusion of the book, making it simple for me to refer to it anytime a new character was introduced or I misremembered one that had been previously discussed. Also, I enjoy reading fantasy books, so this book with magic captured my interest.
Despite how much I liked the book, I thought the introduction to be very lengthy and almost put the book down. Except for that small issue, the book was pretty intriguing. Tysz was able to captivate my whole attention with the setting of medieval times.
I saw no faults in the book, which made me think that it had been extraordinarily carefully edited. It is only fair to give this book a rating of five out of five stars. I suggest this masterpiece to adults who like reading about magic, monarchy, and the occasional amount of action because of the usage of language and violence.
