In this book, We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies, Matthew Tysz centers on a young man whose name is Galen Bray. Galen portrays a man full of ambition and results-oriented. He escaped from the Land of the Princes, where war and poverty are tearing the people apart. Galen happens to have an uncle who was a forger and wanted him to come to Voulhire and become his successor.
So he traveled to Voulhire, which happens to be a great and prosperous land. However, there are some people who want to use the land to get power in another world called Caromentis. Wilhelm Acolo, who is the King of Voulhire, determines to make his land peaceful and prosperous. but not without fighting off some bad elements. Would he succeed in making his land peaceful? This book is actually the first in the author's "We are Voulhire" series. This science fiction novel was released in 2018. Matthew is an incredible writer, whose plot development I found very intriguing. He told a unique and engaging story that keeps his readers completely engrossed. I enjoyed the buildup of suspense in his book, which kept me glued as the story progressed. For instance, I was taken aback by the creature that found herself in Meldorath's home, and I needed to know more about her existence. I love the way he created his characters; it is a masterpiece. For example, characters like Eldus Alderman, who happens to be the Lord of Hillport, and a former judge in Soulhire, who was sent by the King to repair the land of Hillport, cannot be forgotten easily. I also love the quote used by the author, which made the story more interesting and captivating; one of the quotes I love most is "You are the author of your own story."
Although I found the story a bit confusing at some points, making it hard to follow, I still enjoyed the flow of the story, which compelled me to read on till the end. Hence, I will give the book a full rating of 5 out of 5 stars. I found no errors, which indicates an exceptionally well-edited piece.
I would recommend this book to lovers of fantasy and adventure novels. Anyone who loves mysteries and magic would really love and appreciate it.
