Review of Terms of Service
Kim suddenly and forcefully starts to resist the terms by which she had lived at her place of work. In Terms of Service: Subject to Change Without Notice by Craig W. Stanfill, Kim has been working as an assistant artificial intelligence trainer in an AI company for five years.
She makes steady efforts to climb the ladder to the topmost rank which is Order Four AI. Just when the job gets rather too monotonous for her, she is given a promotion to a higher level, however with constraints. It is at this point Kim begins to question everything she had been working on for years. Is she willing to face the consequences that come with going against the terms of service?
It is not a hidden fact that Artificial Intelligence is taking over most activity in the world today and this book enlightens us more about that. In it, we see contrasts - Robots versus humans. The amusing thing about this book is that Kim suddenly starts to feel less human and more robotic when her job becomes more monotonous as time goes by. She acts and work on terms, is subjected to live in a bland looking building only wearing bland coloured clothes.
The world she is subjected to is a neutral one and the days are named contrary to the conventional names. They are referred to as Oneday, Twoday, Threeday, Fourday, Fiveday, Sixday and Sevenday. These factors will make readers ask the question which is commonly asked; Will Artificial Intelligence completely take over the world?
Another good thing about this book is that you will not be an ignorant or non elightened reader after reading the book. There are a lot of scientific concepts and words to encounter.
Also, Kim's relationship with her best friend, Shay is something aspiring readers should look forward to. The bike ride they engage in was great. I love this about the book.
This book contains highly erotic scenes in which the use of drugs were involved. Alcohol was also used during intimacy. I feel this part of the book might rob off negatively on readers and alter their perception of the message the writer is trying to pass across.
Craig W. Stanfill's book lacks any sort of brow raising error and to this effect, it is deserving of a rating of five out of five stars.
The audience suitability of Terms of Service: Subject to Change Without Notice extends to a wide range of readers from the tech world to naturally curious readers. Readers who love reads concerning Artificial Intelligence would thoroughly enjoy reading this book and so, I recommend it to them.
