Review of Terms of Service
Terms of Service by Craig W. Stanfill is a sci-fi that follows the life of Kim. This book is set in a future civilization as man best imagines it shall be. The times are of the future civilization where Artificial Intelligence has taken root and the aspects of life as we know it re-arranged. With some aspects of what is currently taking place, this book has taken them and advanced them to create an intricate masterpiece filled with adventure.
Kim's life is controlled by AI. This includes what she eats, who she hangs out with, and even where to hang out. She is content with her work at The Artificial Intelligence company. However, something seems to be a miss. In a world filled with technology we can only dream of, she feels unhappy. This arouses the need to seek a better life and go against the norm. However, this decision challenges society's "acceptable" mode of conduct. What consequences does this revolution hold? Will she succeed in her quest for fulfillment? Join Kim on the intriguing journey of self-discovery.
There are many aspects to love about this book. Not only is the author's imagination wild, but he has also capitalized on the current state of affairs to predict what the world may be in for. as someone who is interested in machine learning and what this could mean in the future, I could rightfully see the events in the book as a prophecy of what is in store. Especially the madness on gender identity, it could very well get to a time where the individual self is neglected, and we'd have to refer to people as they or them. This is what I loved most about this book. The flow is amazing and easy to follow. Even someone who is not a native English speaker will enjoy this book. I also loved the 'TERMS OF SERVICE" at the beginning of the book. It was a beautiful prologue.
There was nothing that I disliked about this book. It was tantalizing and had a great flow. Despite the long time taken to read it, it is not an indication of the quality of the book. Had it been within my control, I would have read it comfortably in one sitting or two.
I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. The author delivered their intention to portray the future. The book is exceptionally well-edited. I found no errors. I recommend the book to lovers of sci-fi. They will enjoy reading this book.
