Terms of Service by Craig W. Stanfill, projects a futuristic sample of human society, where people, their activities, decisions and more, are controlled so as to achieve both predetermined contributions as well as outcomes for the general good. This concept results generally to Lifestyle being collectively more seamless.

A young woman named Kim is the central character in this book. Through her, we are able to see what it feels like living in this crafted reality, where people function and coexist side by side with AI across a hierarchical social structure. People's excesses, their emotions, gender are practically unplugged by downplaying and putting these attributes in check. Rewarded obedience versus sanctions for disobedience are used as tools in the governance system.

I enjoyed this book, a pleasant surprise for me, because I thought I wasn't cut out for Sci-Fi. It made real good reading with every other page, as Stanfill, well attuned to the subject matter, intricately weaves a tale of how Human Life would be in the reality he depicted. You get to experience both the good as well as down sides of ceeding such enormous control and choices in one's life.

I didn't quite like the book normalising only a specific sexual orientation with it's enforcement on everyone in this Project. For me that was a subtle attempt at validation, unhealthy for an impressionable Reader.

Terms of Service reads very smoothly without any errors. The Reader is pre-informed that as part of this worid the book presents, words were intentionally mis-spelt and pronouns used interchangeably, to represent a language the book called "Panglobal".
I rate the book 5 out of 5 because Terms of Service reads effortlessly without errors.

I recommend this Book to Readers who love a good blend of reality and a thin dividing line with Fiction. You need to read the book to enjoy the interplay of Man, Machine and Artificial intelligence's interplay, seamlessly at work, impacting society and get to know which one does what.
