Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
[Following is a volunteer review of "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz.]
Young Galen Bray hails from the Lands of the Princes, a region of violence. In response to his dying uncle's urgent plea, he swiftly departs his home for Voulhire and makes every effort to obtain the things he inherited. Unbeknownst to him, the massive Voulhire harbors a monstrous evil. How is Galen Bray going to live?
Matthew Tysz believes there will be nine books in this series overall, and he lists their titles in the first few pages of this one. "The relationship between the cosmos and the magical realm (the caromentis) is described in We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies. The people in this book have varying ideologies and pursuits; some want power and conflict, while others want peace. Politics, right and wrong, hatred, thanksgiving, and hope are some of its recurrent themes.
This book's ability to immediately capture the reader's interest is one of its exceptional qualities. This passage from the book's opening provides an example of this heart-pounding suspense: You will be able to see directly what individuals do when they have no reason to fail in this unique kingdom, where all the resources are available to create a perfect world. This is the glorious and dreadful kingdom of Voulhire, my children!
The book's introduction contains a dictionary of terms, locations, and historical details pertinent to the inhabitants of Voulhire. This enables readers to correctly understand and interpret it as they continue reading. This kind of act is admirable and deserves to be recognized. Additionally, even though this book might be categorized as a work of fantasy, the plot doesn't seem unrealistic or out of place. The author eloquently conveys this story by tying the cosmos and the caromentis together while skillfully presenting his theories about the existence of several realms.
Although the author tells this tale from the perspectives of various people, Galen Bray is my favorite. He stands for a man who is humbled by his upbringing and thankful for the opportunity to go through a transformation. He is friendly, considerate, and generous. He constantly strives to improve himself and learn new things. I'm interested in seeing how he grows as he gets used to life in Voulhire.
I could not find any flaws when reading this book, leading me to believe it was expertly edited and revised.
In conclusion, this novel is incredibly engaging and thrilling; its pages contain tension and pique readers' interest. I'm willing to follow the characters in this captivating story since it's so fantastic. I give it a score of five out of five stars because it is simple to read and comprehend and will interest fantasy and science fiction fans. There is never a dull moment in the magnificent kingdom of Voulhire, so I wholeheartedly suggest it to those who enjoy reading about the potential existence of other worlds.
