Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
[Following is a volunteer review of "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz.]
Fantasy author Matthew Tysz has written a captivating and complex book titled We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies. Galen, a refugee from the war-torn and impoverished Land of Princes, travels to Magnum Caelum in order to receive his late uncle's Onita steel company. Galen meets a few people along the journey who have an impact on him, but Magnum Caelum is where he meets a large cast of characters and starts to learn more about himself and the rich Voulhire culture. Galen must make his way through a society filled with political strife and betrayal as the story takes readers on an exciting journey through a perilous and intriguing world.
The book is not only well-written, but it also has intriguing magic fights that captivate readers. The plot receives extra depth from the compelling characters and their deepened friendships. Readers are kept on the edge of their seats throughout both the battles and the character growth thanks to the vivid and immersive world-building. The action moves along at a good pace with thoughtful decisions, relatable challenges and triumphant scenes that highlight the value of friendship. Additionally the inclusion of humour creates a delightfully light ambiance that makes it enjoyable to read.
The plot of the book can occasionally be confusing, demanding close attention to the storyline in order for the reader to fully understand what is happening. This is the only drawback to the book.
It is an action-packed novel that will keep you flipping pages from beginning to end. You are drawn into a richly imagined universe that is both thrilling and dangerous by the writing's immersive quality. The well-written believable characters have complex motivations and hidden agendas that keep you wondering right up to the very end. Additionally, the book has been expertly edited to ensure that there are no mistakes or inconsistencies in the grammar, punctuation or writing, which makes for a comfortable reading experience. Given all of these elements taken into account, it should come as no surprise that I offer We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies a flawless 5 out of 5 stars.
