I loved these books, the world was so beautiful and (most) of the characters very likable. I really got into the story, so much that by the ending of the third I was crying.

I much agree with you! I only read the first book, Shadow and Bone, but I was hooked! Unfortunately I didn't have the second one at hand but I still intend to read it. I actually read the first one twice but I only really appreciated the greatness of it on the second read. The plot twists kept me really fired up and I loved Alina and the Darkling as characters. The darkling to me was dark, mysterious and sexy, which I guess was the authors' intention. I think that contributed to the story a lot as the line between good and evil is blurred (as someone on her has mentioned already).
Very good and unique fantasy story.

The book 'Shadow and Bone' trilogy was all over my Instagram feed so I gave it a try but I felt like it is overhyped. It's either not that great, or I just expected more. Now I am about to read the Six of Crows duology, heard a lot about Kaz Brekker but trying not to expect much so I don't get disappointed.

I read the six of crows duology before I read the shadow and bone trilogy, and I must say. Six of crows was far superior.
Bardugo as an author was able to refine her writing talents in the duology, the characters were much better and nuanced in Six of crows.
I wouldn't highly recommend shadow and bone but it's not the worst series and it is a great introduction to the Grishaverse. I would also recommend her book Ninth House. It is Adult fantasy. Much more serious than her other books but very good.
