The Bounty Huntress: Invasion of the Keratinians by Edward Anthony is a science fiction book that focuses on Cassandra and her team's conflict with the Keratinian invader named Ki'ara.

After receiving the death penalty for the murder of her spouse, pregnant Ki'ara fled Keratin, a planet populated by aliens with human-like appearances but reptilian traits, and landed on Earth. She made Ture National Park her territory, and any human who trespassed was killed. Sly, an army veteran in charge of a paramilitary force known as the Grey Wolves, was recruited to take down Ki'ara. Sly contacted Cassandra to join his team for the mission. On one of their expeditions in the park, the team came across Tiffany, an attractive lady who claimed to be an archeologist. Several of them did not trust her, but Sly still added her to the team regardless. They launched several fierce battles against Ki'ara. They discovered she was hiding something in a cabin. What was Ki'ara hiding? Was the team able to bring her down? Were they right not to trust Tiffany? Read this book to find out.

I loved that this book was centered on a strong female character. We definitely need more books with strong female protagonists. Cassandra was easily my favorite character. She was beautiful, tall, and built like an Amazon. In fact, she was frequently referred to as an Amazonian. She was a strong female, and she took her job seriously. However, she allowed her feelings for Edward to get in the way. It would have been better if she had spoken to Edward about her feelings rather than being upset when she saw Brianna and Edward together in the gym. I liked the role that Tiffany's character played. I did not trust her, and I was right not to. I did not see Tyree and Ki'ara's relationship coming. It seemed a bit off. Tyree readily betrayed the team he had spent years working with because of an alien he had just met. That did not sit quite well with me.

This book was unique. This kind of plot, in which an alien invades Earth and causes chaos, does not occur very frequently. This was a short and intriguing book. There was no dull part. The characters were well-developed, and the author's writing style was easy to comprehend. I found some errors while reading, showing that this book was professionally edited.

Due to the reasons stated above, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. There was nothing to dislike. The author did a fantastic job. I recommend this book to people who enjoy action-packed books centered on extraterrestrial life.

I love scifi books and this one seems to be interesting. The plot is quite catchy and engaging. Now I'm left to wonder who killed Kiaras' spouse and how will she defeat her enemies.

Books with female characters as the focal characters appeal so much to me. I hope Cassandra and her team would defeat their adversaries. Well done.
