Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies, written by Matthew Tysz. Galen Bray, a native of the Land of the Princes who is shown leaving his home country at the beginning of the novel searching for better opportunities, serves as the story's major protagonist. The excessive pain and death in the Land of the Princes displeased Galen; he was born there, and he looked for an escape. Galen left the land of the princes when the chance presented itself, embarking on a trip to Voulhire. Unseen by Galen, Voulhire held a big destiny for him. Before his great-uncle passed away, he gave him an inheritance. He arrives at Voulhire to claim an inheritance that his great-uncle left for him, and while doing so, he runs across Rowan, his great-uncle's executor. He teaches Galen how to continue to manage his uncle's business, and together they embark on an adventure. Additional characters include Lord Eldus Alderman, the recently appointed lord of Hillport, who comes to Hillport in an effort to enhance the quality of life for its citizens.
Firstly, it is packed with quotes and wisdom that will help you navigate life. He shifts perspectives between characters, which provides insight into each character's thoughts and excellent character development. The author did a fantastic job of using his language to inspire my thoughts so that I could see what he was expressing. This book's vivid character introductions made it appealing to me. It was remarkable how well he transitioned between situations without confusing the readers. The author's inventive elements appealed to me because they aroused my curiosity. The way he described wizards with different magical abilities was remarkable.
There was nothing that I disliked about the book; it was well-written and interesting. The detail with which the buildings, setting, and attire were depicted was wonderful. The author gave the reader a very lifelike, immersive experience. The vocabulary used throughout the book is quite fascinating. The novel also demonstrates the effort and difficulty involved in maintaining a kingdom. I also enjoyed the character backstories because they heightened the intrigue and gave the plot a more grounded feel.
The author was able to maintain my attention the entire time. I am rating this book, We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies, 5 out of 5 stars because it was well-structured and easy to read. There were no grammatical errors or mistakes in it. Therefore, it was exceptionally well edited.
I recommend this book to anybody who enjoys both good mysteries and action-packed fantasy novels.
