We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies, written by Matthew Tysz. The novel opens with a prologue that provides a little background that is crucial later on in the narrative and presents Meldorath, the strong magician, as an intriguing figure. When the central protagonist, Galen, first appears, the writing style changes from third person to first person. Galen was born in a country that had just seen war, and now he is the last descendant of a relative who formerly lived in Voulhire. He receives a large inheritance from a great uncle he was unaware of, but he is eager to escape the turmoil and begin afresh. He therefore embarks on his voyage to Magnum Caelum, a location in Voulhire, by joining a ship carrying refugees. Meanwhile, Lord Eldus relocates to Hillport, a quiet fishing community that had previously been looked after by Lord Orlin and Lord Meldorath, to restore it. The spirits of Orlin and Meldorath are ever-present as Lord Eldus works to rebuild this still-shattered community. The story becomes more complex and takes on new dimensions as Lord Eldus seeks to figure out what really transpired.

I liked how the author gave the plot a sense of uncertainty so that I was unable to foresee what would happen next. The following book in the series is something I'm eager to read. The growth of the characters was another feature of this book that I liked. Along with the interaction that the author incorporated among the characters, each chapter was written in first-person narration and devoted at least one chapter to each important character. As a result, I had the impression that I was inside the thoughts of the characters, which allowed me to understand them better.

There was nothing that I disliked about the book; it was well-written and interesting to read. I adored the book's heading-based organization. The initial map was quite helpful in providing an idea of Voulhire. The glossary of terminology at the conclusion of the book was also very useful because it allowed me to look at concepts that were used in Voulhire but whose meanings I was unable to determine on my own. I enjoyed reading this book.

I am rating this book, We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies, 5 out of 5 stars because it was well-structured and easy to read. There were no grammatical errors or mistakes in it. Therefore, it was exceptionally well edited.

I recommend this book to people who enjoy reading fantasy books with magic and exciting adventures.
