Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies is the first book in a nine-part series written by Matthew Tysz. Galen Bray, a young man, is featured at the book's opening. Galen lives in the viciousness and terror of the Land of the Princes at the beginning of the book; it is a desolate land ruled by four treacherous brothers who are all contending for their father's throne. Their father is the “Emperor of Lullabies,” a cruel and enigmatic king whom many people have never really seen with their own eyes. So, when Galen Bray's long-lost, dying uncle sends for him to travel to the wealthy and serene nation of Voulhire, Galen seizes this opportunity to leave this desolate region. Galen runs across Rowan in Voulhire, the man his uncle sent to find him. They went out to assist Galen in settling down in this strange land together. Beneath this prosperous land's surface lie some awful tragedies. The people of Voulhire constantly deal with the weird and paranormal because the magicians there have the ability to alter nature.
The story's vivid description makes it easy to follow along and immerse oneself in the action. Every scene was vibrant, and I had a clear image of how each character would seem. The story of Galen Bray is told in the first person by the author. The originality with which the locations and phrases were named was appealing to me. Voulhire seemed enchanted by these remarks. By examining the various scenes and making sure they lived up to their names, they gave the story life. The author did a fantastic job of giving each character their own distinct persona. I enjoyed the blend of innocence and malice the entire time. The subdued humor and never-ending drama kept me interested.
There was nothing that I disliked about the book; it was intriguing and well-written. I had a great time reading this book. The dialogue was masterfully written and kept at a good pace by the author, which was my favorite part of the novel. The author included a map at the beginning of the book and also a glossary of the concepts and names used in the book.
I am rating this book, We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies, 5 out of 5 stars because it was entertaining and engaging to read. There were no grammatical errors or mistakes in it. Therefore, it was exceptionally well edited.
I would recommend this book to readers who love fantasy and magic books.
