Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies, written by Matthew Tysz, is the first installment of the “We are Voulhire” series. The protagonist of this book, Galen Bray, is one of a prominent country's four sons. He decides to travel to Magnum Carlin in the kingdom of Voulhire when a chance arises as a result of the ongoing war in his own nation in the desire to achieve a brighter future. As soon as he gets there, he finds out that his uncle, who had lived in voulhire, has passed away and that he has inherited everything. With the aid of his uncle's friend Rowan, he makes it through this confusing new environment, but he is oblivious to Voulhire's horrible background. While Galen is the main character, the story is recounted from a variety of viewpoints, enabling us to witness both Voulhire's interesting past and the numerous events that are happening.
The author of the book did an impressive job of effectively capturing the surroundings and characters. To utilize maps and a brief character introduction at the beginning as a well-intentioned or essential crutch for superb visualization was an outstanding effort of creativity. In this work, the author deftly alternates between first-person and third-person perspectives and employs a suitable mixture of both old and current English in a fairly seamless way. Readers are captivated by the book's interesting magic battles. The intriguing characters and their strengthened friendships give the plot more dimension. Because of the detailed and compelling world-building, readers remain attentive during both the fights and the development of the characters. With deliberate choices, the action proceeds at a good clip. Furthermore, the humor adds a pleasantly light atmosphere that enhances the reading experience.
There was nothing that I disliked about the book; it was well-organized and compelling to read. I adored how the book hooked me from the first page. I appreciated the novel's author's use of realism. Reading every page of the novel had me engrossed and genuinely engaged in knowing what would occur next. Excellent attention to detail was displayed by the author.
I am rating this book, We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies, 5 out of 5 stars because it was fascinating and easy to read. There were no grammatical errors or mistakes in it. Therefore, it was exceptionally well edited.
I recommend this book to those who like adventure and fantasy books.
