Terms of Service: Subject to change without notice by Craig W. Stanfill shows us a dystopian world 250 years into the future, that on the surface appears to be a perfect society run by the AI company. Stanfill has created the perfect world where every action has a consequence. It is a bland world where only one company exists for a product. Follow the rules and you get your social standing up break any rules and you get demerits which determine the privileges you get in life. There is no such thing as privacy and your every little move is monitored by the AI's. Deviating from the path set out by the AI's causes you to be sent to the outer districts and as an end stage sent to the labour camps. This story follows the life of Kim who is a model citizen trying to rise up on the social ladder while working for the AI company. This is a story of her coming to terms with her life ,understanding what is wrong with the world and taking a stand against it.

Kim lives a perfect life with a good job and follows all the rules with minor transgressions, but this all changes after one eventful bike ride where she sees something she should not have. Kim's life is turned upside down and a promotion causes her life to become complicated. What does she see? Does she realize the extent of human suppression? How does she find a way out? Read to find the answers and more.

The thing i loved the most about the book is how Stanfill made the world seem like one big unit. The creation of AI's
,their training was executed perfectly..it was a relatively fast paced book and Kim's banter with her appliances gave it the dash of humor the book needed. The distinction between virtual reality and real life was stark. It was jarring to see the AI's control every aspect of the society from the music to latest trends and remove all authenticity from the arts that makes us human.

There are not many negative aspects of the book. The usage of she/her/hers and we/ours for humans took a minute to get used to. I do which to have seen more of the 'blanks' and what role they play in the society. I have a lot of questions about then that I hope are answered in the next book.

Overall I rate Terms of service: subject to change without notice a 5 out of 5 stars . This book was professionally edited and does not appear to have any grammatical errors. The book does not contain profanity but it does have sexual content. There is also excessive usage of alcohol and drugs. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoyed books like Brave New World or 1984. I could not put this book down and will definitely be reading the sequel.
