We are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz revolves around a young man named Galen who lives in the Lands of the Princes. An island where opportunities do not come knocking on your front door. Luckily for Galen, his uncle from Voulhire passes away and leaves him an inheritance. Therefore, Galen has to find a way to escape from the Lands of the Princes to claim what is now his. Meanwhile, in Voulhire, Meldorath who is an ex-general and a friend of the king overthrows Lord Orlin and becomes the new lord of Hillport. His reign as Lord does not last long as he is arrested and a new lord is appointed by the king. What awaits Galen in Voulhire? What happens to Meldorath after his arrest? Meldorath is a powerful mage who is revered all through out the kingdom. Nobody trully knows the source of his powers. Voulhire is a magical land but its magic is little to none compared to Caromentis where magic comes from. I love how the author portrays each character ideally making each one of them fit into their roles perfectly. The words are enough to make you feel like you know every character by heart. Each event is vividly described and as a result, made me yearn for more. Each chapter gets more intense than the previous one and the suspense that the author creates is superb.

The story begins on a high note and maintains it up until it the end. Towards the end, the story reaches its climax and things get heated. it is packed with action both in the beginning and at the end. There is nothing negative about the book. The book is well-written and the vocabulary used is perfect as it helps you have a clear understanding of the book.

The story pulls you in and keeps you engaged. I rate We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies 5 out of 5 stars. It is perfectly edited as I did not find any errors. The story unfolds in such an amusing way.

The book is a perfect fit for readers who love sci-fi and fantasy, especially those who love stories about magic and magical realms. Moreover, the incorporation of the multiverse and magic just makes the whole story more captivating.
