Review of Terms of Service
Craig W. Stanfill's dystopian-themed novel Terms of Service: Subject to change without notice, features Kim as the main character. Besides being smart, Kim is also brave. She has faced many challenges in her life, but she has never wavered in her ambition or enthusiasm for creating artificial intelligence. Her perseverance paid off, and she was hired by an artificial intelligence firm where she also formed lifelong friendships with her coworkers. Kim was succeeding at her work and leading a fulfilling life. But later, a single event drastically altered almost every facet of her existence. An event helped her realize that the ideal world they thought they were living in is only an illusion and is more like a prison where they are constantly being watched over, monitored, controlled, and dominated, which also impairs their ability to make decisions.
The unpredictability of this book surprised me. The plot turned out to differ completely from what I had predicted, and the conclusion was completely unexpected, satisfying, and something I could never have imagined. The author's straightforward and elegant writing style made it possible for me to follow the chapters easily, even though this book is filled with mystery, suspense, and thriller elements. Particularly with Kim, Shan, and Rey, I have noticed tremendous character growth in this book. The way the mystery is revealed and the way the tension increases over time piqued my interest in this novel.
I can't say anything bad about this novel, which is mostly because of the great plot development. This book's title and cover page drew me in, and as the book's conclusion drew near, everything became quite clear, and I have to admit that the title is quite clever. The author made sure there were no dull interludes in the plot because it is quite engaging. The best aspects of this novel, in my opinion, are the author's accurate depictions of the characters' emotional states throughout all of their highs and lows.
This book has become one of my all-time favorites when it comes to science fiction, and reading it was enjoyable because it is flawlessly written. Given all of these considerations, I have no hesitation in giving this novel a perfect rating of 5 out of 5 stars. This novel is exceptionally well-edited, which helped the plot flow flawlessly because I didn't encounter any grammatical errors in it.
I would suggest this book to science fiction readers who enjoy stories with interesting plots, compelling characters, robots, and other technologically advanced elements involving artificial intelligence. In addition, I want the readers to know that this book is only appropriate for adults because it includes explicit sexual content.
