In a world where the AIs seem to be in total control, all humans have feminine pronouns, the setting is completely gender neutral and individualism is a foreign concept, Kim finds herself working for the Artificial intelligence company; Her job being to teach robotic devices called Automatons how to operate. Her life is not exactly perfect. One might even call it monotonous or boring but it seems to be going fairly well. Even if every aspect was seemingly being controlled by the AI; from her food and clothing choices to how she lives her life, Kim is pretty content but despite this, something still feels amiss in her life and try hard as she might, she cannot seem to figure it out.

When Kim's best friend, Shan, returns to the city, they go on what seemed to be a little adventure, which eventually turned out to be a lot more, changing both lives drastically. Kim soon realizes there is more to all that meets the eyes. The more she tries to figure things out and maybe change them, the more she realizes just how pointless it was to try and fight against the very powers that controlled both her life and the very world she lived in.

Terms of service: Subject to change without notice by Craig W. Stanfill is a very captivating book, set 250 years into the future. It portrays a civilization controlled by Artificial Intelligence and machines. The concept is very unique. Different from the world we live in now. There are certain Terms of Service and several rules that have to be followed as refusal to do so attracts punishment and penalties.

In this world, individualism is an alien concept. Race and gender do not exist or have been ultimately suppressed. Freedom and privacy is not a thing and every part of the humans lives are monitored, evaluated and controlled, down to conversations, companionship and childbirth. While some people might find these Terms of Service upsetting, I rather liked certain parts of it as it seemed to work just fine, ensuring peace, equality and stability in the world.

Craig did a fantastic job with this book and every page leaves the reader hungry for more. The plot and storytelling was absolutely amazing. I like that I had no much to learn while reading, including how interactions between humans and the Artificial intelligence might look like and also a peek into what one of the possibilities of the future could be. There is nothing I disliked about this book. I look forward to reading the sequel. It has no grammatical errors and was very well edited. I thereby give a rating of five out of five stars.

I recommend this book to readers who are particularly interested in AI and the future in general.
