Review of Terms of Service
Terms of Service by Craig W. Stanfill is a science fiction novel. This novel is the first in the series. The future state of AI surveillance is extensively covered in this book.
This book explores Kim's life, which is set 250 years in the future. Kim is a human and works as a trainer for the Artificial Intelligence Surveillance State's AI division. Kim found herself searching for a break after what had initially been a thrilling trip. Besides, having a career didn't seem as exciting because the AI might fail, as Kim had predicted. The Al state had several rules and was highly stagnant. Kim had a deep-seated sense that she was meant for more. Kim, however, makes the choice to hang out with Shan one day. They accidentally entered a no-trespassing zone while out cycling on an empty road, leaving them unable to turn around. They are forced to commit progressively more heinous offenses in order to retrace their way home. Kim's discovery of the AIs' sinister secrets advances the plot.
I particularly enjoy the amazing world-building in this novel. The setting in which the characters discovered themselves was carefully and eloquently described in the book. Moreover, a captivating imaginary universe's backdrop is developed by the author over time. In addition, I liked how the characters in this book developed. Reading this novel gave me the impression that I was inside these characters' thoughts, which made it simpler for me to understand who they were. I need to acknowledge that I found this book to start off rather slowly, but after a few chapters, I found it impossible to put the book down. The plot of this book has been carefully considered and developed. Overall, the novel is both educational and enjoyable.
There was nothing about this book that I could really dislike. What I liked best about this book were the surprising plot twists and all the questions the author left open for the next book in the series. When the next book comes out, I can't wait to get started on it.
The book was professionally edited because I didn't find any typos or mistakes in it. Third-person narrators are used in this book. As a result, I give this novel 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to those who are interested in science fiction, particularly artificial intelligence. Also, because this book has certain details of intimate and erotic moments, I do not suggest it for younger readers.
