A wicked ruler and the Emperor of a powerful nation sends his sons out of his palace and hands each of them an island with armies and supplies. Not long after, a great, non-ending war ensues amongst them. The Islands were named the Lands of Princes. Galen, the main character, is an orphan who has lived all his life in the Lands of Princes. Knowing only survival and being a witness to war all his life, he soon learns that he has inherited the properties of his dying uncle, who was a well-known Blacksmith in Voulhire. He immediately leaves the Lands of Princes for Voulhire where he meets his late uncle's executor, Rowan, who helps him settle in quickly. Rowan takes him on different dangerous adventures as they both try to uncover numerous magical mysteries.


We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies is an exhilarating book written by Matthew Tysz which portrays the dirty politics played in the country, Voulhire. I like Matthew's idea of adding a Glossary of words to help readers like myself with terms about Voulhire used in the book which might be confusing for some readers. The Glossary was helpful because I came across many terminologies that appeared unique and almost unreal. The book also has a bunch of interesting characters. It was difficult to figure out the main character at first because Matthew concentrated on all the characters in the book equally. They all had their essential roles to play.

There is nothing that I dislike about this book. It was simply perfect for me. I also enjoy the verity that this book is the first of the continuing series. There are a few questions I have about the ending and I hope to get just enough clarity from the other sequences.

I rate we are Voulhire: a New Arrival under Great Skies 5 out of 5 stars. In my opinion, there are no negatives about the book. The book was edited professionally, It is error-free and has no spelling mistakes whatsoever. It gave me satisfaction as a lover of fictional books. I see no reason to rate the book any less than what I did.

I strongly recommend this book to any reader who gets thrilled by Fantasy or Magic. However, I advise individuals who have passed through the trauma of Pedophilia to not read this book.
