Kim is employed at an AI company, where she trains operational automata to possess human-like qualities, such as independent thinking. Despite her love for her job and her desire for advancement, Kim's personal choices are limited at home due to societal pressure to conform to the AI company's recommendations. However, she decides to challenge the control of the Hierarchy, which dictates human lifestyles and choices through the use of AI devices.

In the science fiction novel Terms of Service: Subject to Change Without Notice by Craig W. Stanfill, Kim's struggles are chronicled as she fights for a more human-centric world in the face of the AI company's dominance over areas such as food, clothing, and transportation.

The author's style and tone transport me to the artificial homes where humans live, and the relatable quality of the book enhances my reading experience. The author describes the contrasting living conditions - the labor camps and affluent districts - effectively. I was fascinated by the actions of every character, such as the house bots, the coffee pot that automatically brews coffee by detecting the time of day and human presence, and the sentient houses that respond to the arrival and departure of humans.

I adore the idea behind this exceptional piece; it envisions a plausible future and adeptly displays that human nature is predisposed to rebellion and lawlessness. This quality is cleverly illustrated and well-executed, and I found myself engrossed in every scene of Kim's interactions with the AIs. The human inclination towards disobedience and lawlessness is evident in numerous instances where the AI recommends a specific diet to Kim, but she expresses her distaste and makes a resolute effort to change the food suggestion. The AI food and nutrition company advises humans to consume protein-rich, low-fat breakfasts. However, if certain food items are repeated too often, individuals tend to become uncomfortable with them. I thoroughly enjoyed Kim's frequent disagreements with the AI regarding clothing and diet recommendations; they kept me entertained throughout the book.

The book develops its characters skillfully; the characters exhibit their decision-making processes and evolve accordingly to achieve their objectives. Overall, I found nothing to dislike about the book. From a literary perspective, I could not locate any grammar errors, indicating excellent editing. I rate it 5 out of 5 stars.

I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy futuristic stories that envision the likely progress of technology and the challenges humans face in adapting to it. If you enjoy fantasy stories and the interaction of magical wonders with future technology, you will thoroughly enjoy reading this book.
