Review of Terms of Service
A fictional civilization largely ruled by artificial intelligence is described by Craig W. Stanfill in his novel Terms of Service. Using machinery and robots to complete tasks has become simpler with the introduction of contemporary, quick technology. Why, though? Occasionally, against our will, ease comes at a cost.
Kim, a prominent member of this civilization powered by artificial intelligence, is presented to us. She manages the transit of all society members throughout the city while working for the society's transportation business. In this society, artificial intelligence is used in every household, and even people have devices implanted in them that transmit data about their health to different social groups. Artificial Intelligence (AI) controls human activity, and penalties for disobedience by residents are also meted out quickly. Kim makes a concerted effort to avoid offending artificial intelligence. For the most part, she succeeds, and her standing in society rises. Kim then develops Kimberly, an AI that can change her perspective on life and push her towards achieving her freedom of choice, something she had never before ventured to do.
I appreciate how well the author can explain science and technology so that even people who are not experts in those fields can understand them. From the start of the novel until the very end, I was engrossed. All terminology was understandable. I was extremely pleased by the author's ability to communicate relatable science fiction.
I have no complaints about this work. The writer did a great job making the book easy to read; it was so detailed that it felt like I was watching a movie in my head. As we continue to teach artificial intelligence (AI) machines to perform our everyday tasks, our independence may be in jeopardy. We might reach a stage where implants could be used to both watch and control human activity as technology advances. As a result, our independence as people will be restricted because governing entities can now use these machines to exert influence over us.
I gave this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. The reading was simple and delightful; kudos to the author. All readers should pick up this book, but I particularly suggest it to young people with creative minds due to how fascinating the plot is. The book was exceptionally well-edited and error-free. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in science fiction, action, or artificial intelligence.
