Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
The themes of war, crime, bloodshed, magic, hunger for power, and adventure are all present in Matthew Tysz's book, We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies. Galen Bray, who is brave and kind, is a key figure in the narrative. Galen lives in the Lands of the Princes and has a typical existence, but because of unfortunate events like a conflict breaking out among the emperor's sons, the peace of the inhabitants of the Lands of the Princes is destroyed. Galen's uncle, who lived in the Kingdom of Voulhire, passed away, leaving Galen as the sole heir to his possessions. Galen believes that now is the ideal time to move to the Kingdom of Voulhire and begin a new life thereafter, realising this possibility. Galen is accompanied by Rowan when travelling through the Kingdom of Voulhire, who also served as the executor of his uncle's estate. Although the Kingdom of Voulhire seems normal on the outside, it is corrupted from the inside, which worries King Wilhelm. In the approaching war on the Voulhire, what role will Galen play?
This book is filled with suspenseful thrillers and a cunning antagonist. This book contains several characters, and the author carefully created each one. A comprehensive list of all the characters in the novel is also included, along with maps for all the fictional locations referenced in the book to help readers grasp the plot. I am incredibly impressed by the author's plotting, since I was taken aback by the suspense and mystery and how beautifully each chapter flowed into the next. With its captivating plot, this book will have readers on the edge of their seats until the very end.
This book had what I considered an excessive number of characters, some of whom I believed enhanced the plot, while others I felt were unnecessary and might have been omitted. This, however, is a minor flaw. Furthermore, it had no negative effects on how much I enjoyed this book altogether. How the author painstakingly created a fantastical universe with all the necessary components to be fascinating and engrossing for the readers is, in my opinion, the book's best feature.
I relished this book. I only discovered a minor flaw, which is not significant enough to lower this book's rating. The fact that I found no grammatical errors in this book shows it is exceptionally well-edited. I would want to give this book a perfect rating of 5 out of 5 stars, taking everything said above into account.
I'd like to recommend this book to readers who are interested in reading about exciting, violent, and war-filled fantasy worlds. I also want the readers to know that there is non-borderline profanity in this novel.
