Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
Voulhire was a wonderful place. Galen Bray had heard much about it and was excited to go live there. The kingdom was teeming with successful people who went about their businesses in peace and quiet, unlike in his country, where the residents had not known peace for years. You see, Galen’s country was going through a hard time. It was at war, and as expected, the people living there were suffering. Galen was sad for his people but relieved that he would no longer see the faces of death, hunger, and suffering. Voulhire was the answer to his prayers. Unknown to him, though, Voulhire was not all that good. A select few had decided to make a plan to bring sorrow to all who stood in their way. Voulhire desperately needs a hero to stop these people before it is too late. Will Galen be the hero that Voulhire needs?
Matthew Tysz is one of the greatest writers of his time. He has successfully written novels that have gained popularity across the globe. We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies is one such novel. Although it is just the first book of the We are Voulhire series, it contains a lot of things that kept me interested in reading the story from the start till the end. It contained humor, magic, weird creatures, and much more. Before I give you the gist of what I liked most about this book, I would like to tell you that I did not dislike anything about We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies.
Now, it is time for me to talk about what I liked most about this novel. Although I liked everything I saw in the book, I liked the stories it told the most. We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies focused on the escapades of more than one character. Galen did not get the chance to hoard the spotlight, as I had expected from the start. Instead, he shared that platform with Meldorath and many of the characters that made their mark in the book. Each character’s story is very different from all the others. Most of the characters in the book did not see or cross paths with each other. Many of them did not know about the existence of others. I liked how unique the style that Matthew Tysz adopted was. It kept this book interesting.
I do not have any regrets about reading We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies. Rowan’s and Demetrius’ relationship and antics kept me laughing. Their constant love-hate relationship warmed my heart but also scared me. We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies was well detailed. The vivid description starts with the prologue of the story. That was one of the many things that made me like this book so much. One other thing I must mention is the book’s editing. It was edited exceptionally well. The summary of this whole review is that We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies had no aspect that I can call negative. Because of this very fact, it will be cruel of me to give it a rating that is less than 5 out of 5 stars.
We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies is a book about weird possibilities in a world where magic waxes strong alongside science. It is a book about a land that faces the threat of destruction at the hands of the people who have made their riches on it. Readers who love books that focus on the above should read We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies. I cannot imagine that such a reader would hate this book for any reason. I recommend We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies to them because it is more than interesting.
