We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies is an incredible debut novel from author Matthew Tysz. I highly recommend this book to readers who are looking for a well-crafted and engaging fantasy world.

One of the things that impressed me about this book was the author's ability to create complex and unique characters. The contrast between the various characters and the different styles of leadership they represented was impressive. For instance, Galen Bray is a humble blacksmith who doesn't have any aspirations beyond his small village, while King Wilhelm Arcolo and Chancellor Midius Maido are cunning and politically savvy leaders who wield power with skill and calculation. The author's ability to weave together multiple perspectives and storylines was truly remarkable.

Moreover, Tysz's world-building skills were also exceptional. The Kingdom of Voulhire is described in great detail, from its prosperous economy to the complex political landscape. The author also managed to create a magical and mystical atmosphere that added an extra layer of excitement and intrigue to the story. From the vivid descriptions of the landscapes to the complex socio-political environment of Voulhire, readers are easily transported into the world Tysz has created.

While the book includes elements of profanity and violence, I believe that these elements are necessary to create a realistic portrayal of the conflicts and struggles that the characters face. It adds depth and authenticity to the story, making it all the more engaging.

Overall, We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies is a must-read for fans of the fantasy genre. Tysz has created a rich and immersive world that will keep readers engaged from beginning to end. I highly recommend this book and believe that readers will find themselves eager to read the rest of the series. A well-deserved rating of 5 out of 5 stars is a testament to the quality of the book. I can't wait to see what Tysz has in store for his readers in the next installment of the series.
