Imagine living in a world where mankind is controlled by Artificial Intelligence, unbelievable, right? Well, not for Kim.
Kim lives in a society where AIs are in charge. If she obeys the rules, she will be rewarded. Everything from the outfits she wears to the meals she eats to whom she has sexual relations with is decided for her. In this world, looking out for yourself is considered selfish and frowned upon.
Things are going particularly properly for Kim until she lands herself into a much less flattering situation, which propels her into a new role and lands her amid the very forces that manipulate the society. With this, her privacy and identity have come to be compromised.
Kim has been living like this her whole life and was fine with it until she had a revelation of what kind of world she lives in. Kim discovers the truth about her world and the lies she has been told.
Kim works with a significant Artificial Intelligence company, and
her job is to train robots. She was tasked with training a robot named Kimberly, and she was quite successful in doing so, but will things continue to go smoothly with Kim? Will she continue to live, abiding by every single term, or will she end up being frustrated and choosing a life of freedom by defying the rules? Shan is Kim's friend from college. She's very mischievous and always tends to bring out sides of Kim she didn't know herself. After a long time since college, they've been reunited and her presence is already making it hard for Kim to stick with the terms.
This is an outstanding science fiction novel that I immensely enjoyed. It has a fascinating plot that got me riveted from the very first page and left me keen to read the sequel.
This book is perfectly edited, although I must say the Pan global language made it quite troublesome to understand sometimes, that didn't stop me from enjoying it For all the awesome aspects of this book, I rate this book a 5 out of 5. Though the use of the pronoun “her” for all genders was not to my liking, I still think this book is an excellent read and deserves the good rate. I strongly recommend Craig W. Stanfill's Terms of Service to all you out there who love sci-fi. This book is on a whole different level and will be like no other.
