WTF, DOC! A Kelly Stone Adventure by Marc Longcor. The world is full of the unknown. Unknown sea creatures, unknown secrets kept by the government and then the normal number of unknowns every individual has of their own. Extra-terrestrial organisms are one of the most ‘unknown’ topics in the world and many believe we have evidence it is just a secret kept by the government. Whether this is true or not, we have seen from every sci-fi movie that mixing with extra-terrestrial beings does not end well for us puny humans. However, we keep searching and experimenting until all hell breaks loose and nobody can understand why. Stone is a drunk who owns a tanning salon that is basically run by a stripper, because Stone can hardly walk straight, not to mention count money. He has his reasons for being a drunk, as do we all with our own secret problems. Though we all have to deal with our own demons, the only way out is through.

This book has two hundred and thirty-eight pages. It is divided into nineteen chapters. The book is written from a first-person point of view that switches between the characters in every chapter. The book is also written in the present tense. Some themes found in this book include relationships, friendships, family relations, death, war, character development, survival, and chaos vs. order.

I enjoyed this book very much. This book appears to be very well edited and has well-rounded characters. Marc Longcor did an excellent job at giving imagery and vivid descriptions to set the scene. He did his research on firearms and added it very seamlessly to the storyline. The book is filled with a lot of twists and turns that always keep you on the edge of your seat.

I do not have any negative comments about the book. The plot moved quickly, but not so quickly that I didn't understand what was going on. The WFT,DOC! A Kelly Stone Adventure has a strong opening, a fitting writing style, powerful descriptions, effective dialogues and a good balance of tension and release.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I am going to be reading this book again and I am very much looking forward to reading the second book. This book is not suited for readers under the age of 18, because of the amount of profanity found in it. I would recommend this book to readers who like science fiction, humour, romance, action and adventure.
