Matthew Tysz's fictional novel We Are Voulhire; A New Arrival under Great Skies takes place in a magical world of knights, kings, and emperors. The book delves into the land of Voulhire, which is abundant with people possessing various talents such as mages, blacksmiths, farmers, businessmen, and dancers, providing endless possibilities. Voulhire is a unique kingdom that provides all the necessary tools to build a perfect world and leaves no room for failure. The primary religion in Voulhire is the Church of Destinism, headed by Eiodi. Soulhire, the capital city of Voulhire, is a hub of divisive politics and personal drama that would satisfy any gossip-lover's appetite.

By focusing on two characters, Galen Bray and Lord Eldus Alderman, the author narrates the stories of Voulhire and its people. Galen Bray, a young man from the Prince's lands, inherits his uncle's business in Magnum Caelum and learns about the people of Voulhire with the guidance of his uncle's executor, Rowan. Meanwhile, Lord Eldus is appointed Lord of Hillport by King Wilhelm after the arrest of Lord Meldorath. He is dedicated to helping his people reach their maximum potential, but unbeknownst to him, he has enemies who are targeting him and his family.

This captivating and interesting book taught me valuable lessons, including the wise words of Lord Eldus to Stanley, a victim of child abuse. Lord Eldus advised, "Sometimes it's best to be with people when you feel hurt." It's never good to trust anyone, even when some people make it difficult to have faith. "And it's often good to talk to someone you love when you feel hurt." These words offer great comfort and advice for those going through tough times.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, as there was nothing about it that I disliked. Its imaginative and detailed world-building, diverse characters with unique talents, complex and intriguing political and personal relationships, and valuable life lessons it teaches made it an exciting read. Additionally, the book was exceptionally well-edited and error-free, leaving me eager to read the next series by the author.

I gave this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars because it captivated me with its intriguing fictional world and valuable life lessons. The author successfully engaged the readers and kept them in suspense for what was to come next. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading fictional stories, especially those interested in magical worlds with complex political and personal relationships and valuable life lessons.
