The Sound of Creation by Gabrielle Zielke is a science fiction novel that explores the dangers of technology and its impact on the world. The story revolves around themes of trust, betrayal, chaos, friendship, and love. The main character, Ava Andrews, is a talented software engineer who creates a system that produces organic music. However, Ava soon discovers that this system has a dark side, as it also has the ability to make people say and do things they shouldn't. When Ava's invention is stolen by the government, her life is turned upside down. She must navigate the treacherous waters of the business world and deal with betrayal from a close friend and colleague. As she fights to reclaim her invention and protect her work, Ava must also confront her own fears and doubts about the impact of her creation on the world.

Through her deep and insightful writing, Zielke creates a vivid and engaging world that draws the reader in from the very first page. The characters are well-developed and complex, and the story is filled with twists and turns that keep the reader on the edge of their seat. The novel is expertly crafted, with a gripping narrative that explores the dangers of technology and the insidious effects it can have on our lives.

There is one area that could be improved, and that is the pacing of the book. While the author's writing style is captivating and draws the reader in, there are times when the story moves too slowly. This can make it difficult for readers to stay engaged and slow down the momentum of the plot. Additionally, while the characters are well-developed, some readers may find that they are not relatable enough. This could be improved by giving the characters more depth and exploring their motivations and emotions in greater detail.

Overall, I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars because of its powerful narrative, original world-building, and the author's ingenuity.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of science fiction and is looking for a thought-provoking read. Additionally, those interested in exploring the impact of technology on society may also enjoy this novel. The book may also appeal to readers who enjoy complex characters and engaging world-building. However, readers who prefer fast-paced plots or highly relatable characters may not find this book as enjoyable.
