Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
Voulhire is described in this novel as a prosperous nation with unique cultures and technologies. Voulhire was a place one would like to be because of its quick development. Readers will be introduced to the main character, Galen Bray, who has managed to flee his war-torn home. Galen had come to the kingdom of Voulhire in search of greener pastures. However, upon arrival in this huge realm, some nasty circumstances boil from jealousy and envy and begin to show their ugly head, impeding Galen's goal. What comes next? More information can be found in Matthew Tysz's fantasy novel We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies.
When it comes to choosing books to read, fantasy is not my top choice. However, I'm happy I came across this book and picked it up to read. Because this was my first time reading a fantasy book, I wasn't sure what to anticipate. I must admit that I am pleased with how the book turned out. It was an excellent read. While narrating this story, Matthew used his words in a really imaginative and adaptable manner, which I really liked. I had the impression that I had entered a fantastical universe. Each scene in the novel was vividly portrayed by Matthew's descriptions and writing style. Matthew's language was straightforward and laid-back as well. The author made a wise choice by including a map in this book. Personally, I think the map gave the book a little bit more authenticity, which is a benefit.
I adore how compelling the plot of this book is, and I thought Voulhire's kingdom had been effectively established. This book has amazing character development, especially for the antagonist. The antagonist's introduction took some time to complete. Instead, the antagonist's abilities and some background information were deftly outlined by the author. The enemy appeared in plain view just in time. All of the characters seem to have been properly integrated into the plot so that they don't look superfluous. Although I wouldn't classify this book as fast-paced, I felt as though it was due to how compelling the tale was. There was nothing about this book that bothered me. The book was fantastic to read. I'd really like to mention that this book has certain philosophical elements, which I think add some flavor to it.
Furthermore, I found no form of grammatical or typographical error in this work; it was exceptionally edited. Therefore, I rate We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies 5 out of 5 stars.
Because of the information and scenes in this book, I recommend it to fantasy and philosophy fans of ages.
