Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies, written by Matthew Tysz, is a fictional book. The sons of the Emperor of Lullabies rules three separate nations that comprise the Land of Princes. The Emperor wanted his sons to govern peacefully and prevent violence, so he divided the realm among them. Because this division still didn't satisfy their greed, the nation was rife with conflict and suffering. The book discusses Galen Bray, a young orphan who became a refugee because of the conflict in the Land of Princes, his native land. He is fortunate to have made it out of the Land of Princes and into the kingdom of Voulhire, where his late uncle left him an inheritance. Galen is grateful for the chance to start over and learn more about his great-uncle's business. When he's in Voulhire, he meets Rowan, who is his uncle's executor. Rowan teaches Galen about blacksmithing.
I appreciate how skillfully the book's author characterized the places and characters. Maps plus a brief character description at the start as a well-intended or necessary crutch for superb visualization was an astonishing stroke of creativity. In this book, the author expertly alternates between first-person and third-person points of view. I also liked how the author introduced new words in a straightforward way rather than dumping a ton of unfamiliar language on the reader, which would have slowed down the reading or lost their attention. The story's flow and the book's narrative, in particular, keep the reader interested. The book's characters are intriguing and are so vividly detailed that they almost seem real.
There was nothing that I disliked about the book; it was well-written and easy to read. The writing style is the definition of an imaginative author. It was extremely evocative, which gives the novel life. I had the impression that I was in Voulhire, thanks to the author. The book's dramatic nature resulted in a variety of situations that were carefully planned out. I liked every aspect of this book.
There were no grammatical errors or mistakes in it. Therefore, it was exceptionally well edited. As a result, I am rating this book, We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies, 5 out of 5 stars. I enjoyed reading the book from the beginning to the end. I must congratulate the author for writing such a gripping and interesting book.
Furthermore, I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy fantasy and magic novels.
