We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies is a captivating novel exploring magic, mystery, and adventure, with characters caught in power struggles, friendship's deceit, and societal oppression. It realistically portrays how greed for power cripples society, especially the impoverished masses, impacting every citizen.

The story revolves around Meldorath, a former companion of the king, believed dead but locked away. Galen Bray flees to Voulhire's kingdom to claim his inheritance, meeting the supportive mayor and Rowan, who reveals Galen's uncle's intentions and provides important documents.

The author's inclusion of a map at the beginning of the book greatly enhances the reader's experience, allowing for better navigation and immersion in the story. I truly admired the author's ability to create a realistic character in Galen. Despite facing chaos and adversity, Galen maintains a hopeful outlook for a brighter future and preserves his kind-hearted nature. Certain sections of the book had me on the edge of my seat, eagerly anticipating what would unfold next. The author's vivid descriptions and captivating writing style ignited my imagination, particularly in the enchanting portrayal of the enigmatic Meldorath

One aspect that significantly affected my reading experience was the inadequate character development in the book. Characters play a crucial role in drawing readers into the story and establishing a connection with them. However, in this particular book, I found that the characters lacked depth and complexity. Aside from this, I am rather satisfied. The book was exceptionally well-edited and error-free.

I gave this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars due to Matthew Tysz's creation of an intriguing world and my anticipation to see how the story unfolds, despite my misgivings. The author possesses a captivating writing style that enables readers to vividly visualize the narrative. I enthusiastically recommend this book to those who appreciate compelling mysteries and enjoy the fantasy genre, particularly mature readers.
