Everybody, male or female, eventually develops a desire for power, and while most people want to hide their desires, they can't help but feel them. While everyone aspires to be in power, the unpleasant reality is that they may not succeed; negativity may enter the scene, and leaders often appear to be wicked, greedy, and/or possess a number of undesirable traits. We are Voulhire:.A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is a story set in the kingdom of Voulhire.

As the Onita Steel Company's heir, Galen traveled to Magnum Caelum's Land of the Princes, which was a region of the Voulhirian Kingdom ruled by King Wilhelm. Lord Eldus Alderman, a former judge, was sent by the king to this economically depressed location in the Hillport area above Magnum Caelum. Lord Eldus would also look into the peculiarities of the former management if Galen was beginning to learn the forge in Magnum Caelum. When Lord Eldus received strange stones from an enigmatic sender one day, he became perplexed. Was that a bad omen or a sign? Soldiers in dance formation arrived suddenly. Why? In contrast, when searching for "lactis" at the mining site as per his request, Galen and Rowan (his guide) spotted a magician. They searched and discovered uncommon stones. Were these like the stones of Lord Eldus?

I like some aspects of this book. The author attempted to address various societal evils through the book's content. This book handles aggression and insults in the workplace while promoting compassion. Galen observed the foreman yelling at three workers as Rowan and he went to the mining village in search of the white iron. The foreman warned the workers that if they didn't do the task quickly, their "subsidized home" may be taken away and that they would be readily replaced. At this, Galen scowled and challenged the foreman. Galen's temperament compelled the foreman to show the workers respect. Lord Orlis, the first king of Hillport, was also murdered because he was thought to be a pedophile. This is just another strategy the author used to criticize pedophiles' activities.

Additionally, this book was exceptionally well edited. The author has a gift for giving readers a clear understanding of complex problems by clearly articulating situations and finding solutions. The author's ability to perfectly capture the invasion of Hillport in words that allow the reader to vividly picture what happened surprised me. It seems to me that the author was on a distant mountain with a video recorder, catching each incident during the invasion as it happened and then writing it down afterward. Taking all of the aforementioned factors into account, I gave this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.

I was captivated by the book's literary style and, in particular, Galen's point of view; I have no dislike for it. I struggled with the character of Midius Maido. He provided the book with a variety of purposes while being a fairly haughty character.

We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies, the first book in this series written by Matthew Tysz, is a good choice if you're seeking an intriguing science-fiction book. Anyone who enjoys reading this genre should pick up this book, and fans of political thrillers will also like the author's inventive writing style and cryptic political twists. If a businessperson ever reads this story, the author includes unique but successful discussions. However, due to abrupt, explicit episodes like the slaughter of countless individuals, this novel is not suitable for young readers. Science-fiction enthusiasts will essentially enjoy the Voulhirian Empire's flow.
