Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
In Matthew Tysz's captivating saga We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies, the reader is swept into the vibrant world of Cosmos, teeming with diverse characters and compelling events. Each chapter unfolds from a unique perspective, giving a truly immersive reading experience and further enriching the tapestry of Tysz's meticulously crafted universe.
Our journey through the narrative is centred around Galen, a man of gentle disposition hailing from the war-ravaged Lands of the Princes. His character arc is extraordinary, moving from a life of hardship to becoming an heir in the esteemed city of Voulhire. Another fascinating character is the noble Eldus, faced with potentially devastating secrets. There's also the cunning mage Meldorath, whose intriguing undertakings demand keen scrutiny. Their tales are vividly woven, as are the numerous others that reside in this fantastical world.
Tysz masterfully blends elements of magic, intrigue, and suspense, enhancing the allure of his medieval-like setting. The richness of his descriptions ensures that the reader feels invested in the fate of Voulhire and its inhabitants. There's a superb depth of character development that extends beyond the central figures, generating a sense of authenticity often found lacking in fantasy narratives.
The inclusion of a map and a glossary complement the already detailed narration, acting as useful guides throughout the journey. While I found them to be helpful, their usage is optional due to Tysz's thorough explanation of the unfolding events.
As I delved deeper into the narrative, it became increasingly clear that this book had been edited with an exceptional level of precision. The absence of grammatical errors or typos was a welcome surprise, reflecting the professionalism imbued in the crafting of the story. This factor alone added to the overall enjoyment of the reading experience.
It's hard to pinpoint any flaws in the book, as it met and exceeded my expectations in numerous ways. The story is captivating, the characters are well-etched, and the world-building is commendable. The narrative-twists keep the reader engrossed, making the sequel a highly anticipated prospect.
Therefore, I'm pleased to award We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies a full 5 out of 5 stars. This rating is a testament to its gripping storyline, superb character development, and impeccable editing. This novel is a must-read for fans of fantasy and medieval-inspired narratives who enjoy well-paced plots full of suspense and intrigue. However, I advise caution for those who might be sensitive to scenes depicting violence or light erotic content.
All in all, Matthew Tysz's novel is an exemplar in the fantasy genre, deftly mixing elements of suspense, action, and magic to create a riveting tale that leaves one eagerly anticipating the next installment in the series.

I agree with you. Yes, it is a bit slow, but it is a good introduction to the upcoming series. Thank you for reading and commenting.Bettny Andrade wrote: ↑23 Jun 2023, 14:33 I found this book very interesting, although somewhat slow, but surely it is because the entire book itself is an introductory for the rest of the adventures that are coming.
