We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies, a fantasy book by Matthew Tysz, transports readers to a medieval and magical land called Caromentis. In this first instalment of the series, a diverse group of individuals find themselves unexpectedly united by destiny and drawn into a perilous struggle that threatens their world. Magic, power, conflict, rivalry, religion, royal duties, and royalty are the central themes explored throughout the story.

The protagonist, Galen, leaves the Land of the Princes in search of solace and encounters Rowan, who assists him in settling down in Magnum Caelum. The narrative intertwines with the tales of other characters, such as Lord Orlin's passing and the ascension of Lord Eldus as the new Lord of Hillport. Lord Eldus becomes consumed by curiosity, unravelling dark secrets about Meldorath and unveiling the impending calamities, raising questions about life, death, and the authenticity of rumours.

The author skillfully achieved a balanced narrative in which the actions, moods, emotions, and feelings of the characters were vividly portrayed from multiple perspectives that ultimately intertwined. The character development breathed life into each individual, making them remarkably realistic throughout the novel. It was intriguing to witness the consequences of magic and power, as they led to social marginalization and greatly influenced the government and the overall welfare of the community. This exploration shed light on the potential impact that such elements can have on society, leaving me with a deeper understanding of their significance

I have no reservations about the book. It was thoroughly enjoyable to read. I would highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates science fiction and fantasy novels, captivating mystical narratives, and stories centred around formidable characters.

I gave this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars due to its enthralling content and its ability to engage me until the final pages. The book was exceptionally well-edited and error-free.

Matthew Tysz did wonders in this book. The way he conferred up this fantasy story still amazes me. Voulhire sounds both ordinary and extraordinary. I just liked this book's plot. Great review.
