Review of For a Better Yesterday
How far will you go to make things right? Ruminate on that as we explore this unusual sci-fi tale.
Two unlikely but brilliant fellows become partners with almost the same goal. When arrogance and over-excitement come into play, the result is a deadly mistake. Walter, the lead character, must battle his nature, the limitations of the world he finds himself in, and the opposition of an unknown enemy. He has his reasons for fighting this battle. When things become clearer, he has to race against time to fix things before it becomes too late.
For a Better Yesterday by Matthew L. Martin is an engaging and intriguing story that weaves fiction with science. I loved the writing of this story. It was written with a lot of dialogue. However, the dialogue did not detract from the author's ability to convey emotion. I was fully present in the story and was carried along with the flow.
The book started at a steady pace, picked up pace as it moved, and then sped up very rapidly toward the end. This story completely absorbed my mind, and I found myself turning the pages at a very rapid pace as the story raced toward its climax.
The scientific aspect of the book was clearly explained, and I understood the gist of what the characters were attempting to achieve. The language was not overly technical, and as far as I could see, the events were not grounded in fantasy or impossibility. The concepts were clearly explained, and the world the characters inhabited felt realistic — a place that could easily be pictured.
I appreciated the pictures in the book because they significantly increased my enjoyment of the story. Visualizing the people, places, and phenomena described in the book made a huge difference. I was able to experience the story vividly.
The storyline contained a lot of twists and overlapping parts; many confusing things only began to make sense as the story unfolded. However, there were still a few unanswered questions in my mind. The final chapter before the epilogue seemed like a pack of revelations hastily revealed at the crux of the action. Most of the information was given through dialogue, which gave the impression that a lot was forced on the reader at one time. However, I did not find this to reduce my enjoyment of the book.
Due to some violence in this book, sensitive readers should approach it cautiously, as they might be triggered.
The book appeared properly edited, considering its length. I found a few errors that did not affect my reading experience negatively. Therefore, I did not find it enough to take away any point. I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. I couldn't give it a lower rating because it has all the elements of a good science fiction story, even though the narrative was rushed toward the end. I recommend it for anybody who enjoys an uncommon science fiction story that tilts more towards reality.

One of the strengths of this book is Martin's ability to blend scientific and philosophical concepts in a way that is accessible to readers of all backgrounds. He breaks down complex ideas in a clear and concise manner, making it easy for readers to understand his arguments and thought processes.
Throughout the book, Martin raises a number of interesting questions about the nature of time, the implications of changing the past, and the ethical considerations that arise when we alter the course of history. He provides readers with a well-rounded view of the topic, drawing on historical, cultural, and even literary references to support his arguments.
One of the standout features of "For a Better Yesterday" is the author's engaging writing style. Martin has a knack for storytelling and uses vivid examples to illustrate his points. His writing is both informative and entertaining, making this book a pleasure to read.
Overall, "For a Better Yesterday" is a fascinating exploration of the concept of time travel and its potential impact on our lives. Martin's writing is engaging and thought-provoking, and his arguments are well-supported and thoroughly researched. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the topic of time travel or who simply enjoys a well-written and thought-provoking read.
