Galen Bray (28) escaped from the Land of the Princes, and went to Magnum Caldeum, a port in Voulhire, based on his uncle's letter of invitation. He would commence operations in the large estate he inherited from his late uncle through the help of the executor of his uncle's estate, Rowas, whose deep intentions were yet to unravel.

The introduction cast Magistrate Meldorath, who would become Hillport's next lord, as righteous when he went all out to capture Lord Orlin in his fiery anger because of Lord Orlin's alleged 'indecent acts upon children'. One would assume he would remain the hero he portrayed after he was rewarded with a higher position in that same land by King Wilhelm, a trusted friend of his whom he would later label a betrayer.

There were speculations that Lord Meldorath was executed at an undisclosed location. This narrative was promoted to douse the fear of the former lord, who wielded so much power that an army had to be present at his arrest, from the minds of the Voulhirians. There were doubts as to the authenticity of this because of their experiences with Lord Meldorath. It seemed Hillport was not fortunate with the choice of her lords until Lord Eldus Alderman. He was a man with good intentions and was going to do good for his subjects by bringing Hillport to its true potential. Was he able to achieve that? Where was Marshus after his parent's home was attacked? What connection was there among Lord Meldorath, Chancellor Midius Maido, and Riva Rohavi? Why was King Wilhelm afraid of Lord Meldorath? Was Lord Meldorath executed? Find out from We are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies.

Mathew Tysz is a remarkable storyteller. I got fascinated by his writing style. The characters were well fleshed out. The locations were close to reality, such that at some point, I found myself thinking they existed. I was captivated by the introduction of Voulhire by that old entertainer on the ship. Voulhire, to me, is a test, where you have all and might still fail. A land of great opportunity, prosperity, and magic. The author's manner of capturing the reader's attention through his description of otherwise mysterious events is fascinating.

The only confusing aspect of this story is that the author did not sufficiently clear the air regarding Lord Orlin's involvement with children. Though it was insinuated that Lord Meldorath was the culprit and that he only implicated the sitting lord to eliminate him and claim his throne.

I came across only a couple of profanities, and it was just a single word. The flow, grammar, and punctuations were great. The book was professionally edited. I enjoyed reading it from start to finish. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because there was absolutely nothing to dislike in the book. This fantastic book is hereby recommended to lovers of adventure and fantasy.

The use of imagination that makes you feel that it is reality indicates that the events of the story are wonderful.
I loved reading your review, as it expresses the story beautifully.
Life is hard on its own so let's make it easier for each other if we could.

I actually also really enjoyed this book, though I must say I had more trouble getting through it. But I do have to say that the next installments are nice. I liked them well enough, but I haven't been invested in a series like this in a while, and it's very refreshing. Great review! Welcome to Voulhire, this land will surprise, scar and burn you, I promise.

This book seemed introductory to me and I liked it a lot. Several characters caught my attention, and it is also curious how the story changes as the reading progresses.

It's actually the first installment of a series. The characters were well fleshed out. That makes them interesting. Thanks for reading.

I think that this would be a great story. And the world portrayed is certainly one worth looking at. I hope Galen can make things wok out.
