This captivating novel takes place in the fictional realm of Yandar Kingdom of Highwings on the planet Phe'lak. Within this kingdom, a remarkably courageous queen emerges, leading her armies fearlessly in the face of treachery from former allies. The enthralling battle she wages fractures the unity of the Phe'lakir people for the first time in their history, leaving an enduring mark on the queen herself. Having suffered a debilitating injury, she becomes bedridden, unable to contribute to the city's restoration.

The destiny of Yandar Kingdom rests upon the shoulders of one of the queen's three children: two daughters and a son. The narrative raises pressing questions: Who among them will bear this responsibility? Can this person rise to the challenge? Is this person of age to assume such a significant role? Can this person fight? The answers to these inquiries unfold throughout the pages of this thrilling and adventurous book.

Among the memorable characters, two stood out as personal favorites: Hrya and Enmiat. Hrya, a young princess, defies expectations by shouldering responsibility at an early age and forsaking a life of luxury and indulgence. Instead, she displays great courage and wisdom as she leads the Phe'lakir troops, fighting valiantly like a seasoned warrior. Her leadership, troubleshooting skills, and determination greatly intrigued and inspired me. Meanwhile, Enmiat, Silva's nanny and the queen's maid, epitomizes unwavering loyalty by steadfastly remaining by the queen's side throughout her arduous journey of recovery.

One statement particularly resonated with me: "Phe'laki women are warriors." This concise declaration encapsulates the belief that our gender should not define our strengths or weaknesses. It serves as a powerful reminder that we are capable of surpassing our own expectations. While the book had numerous moments of levity, the most amusing one involved George reciting a poem to gain access to the royal doors. The blend of humor, urgency, and tension in that scene evoked hearty laughter and left a lasting impression.

Amidst the lighthearted moments, one passage evoked a deep emotional response within me. Hrya's tearful longing for home struck a chord, emphasizing the overwhelming sense of distance she felt despite being physically present in her mother's bed. It was a poignant portrayal of her longing for loved ones left behind.

In conclusion, this book caters to females of all ages, with a particular focus on younger readers seeking to explore their world, embrace greatness, and transcend gender limitations. It reinforces the notion that each of us possesses untapped potential, waiting to be unleashed in order to aid the helpless, inspire the hopeless, and provide solutions to the world's challenges. The book reminds us that the power to overcome obstacles lies within us and can only be hindered by our own inhibitions.

I commend the author for their exceptional work. The absence of typographical errors indicates meticulous editing, and the well-numbered pages facilitate easy navigation. The inclusion of vivid graphics and colorful illustrations enhanced the book's allure and made it a delight to read. The characters were skillfully developed, while the storyline captivated with its uniqueness, suspense, and overall excellence. It is without hesitation that I rate this book a perfect 5 out of 5 stars. I found nothing to dislike in this book.

I recommend Queen of Highwings by Andri E. Elia, which is a novel adjacent to the trilogy and a prequel to Eltanin, to females of all ages, especially females of younger age, who are ready to spread their wings to explore greatness that goes beyond gender limitations. The lessons in this book would fuel their hunger for exploration.

Funny, I think the statement about women being warriors shouldn’t have to be said out loud. It must be that women are just assumed to be great at many of the same things as men. Everyone deserves to make their own choice.

I have the Worldmaker of Yand ready to read, though honestly I still have to start it. Good to know that there's another novel connected to Eltanin, even if I might be far younger than its intended target. Thank you for your great review!

I had never heard of Eltanin before, but it seems to be very interesting. Alien politics is always such a plus because you don't know what to expect. Great review! This is definitely getting added to my to read list.

I like characters like Hrya and Enmiat, Hrya was able to shoulder the responsibility and forsake a life of luxury. Enmiat on the other hand depicts unwavering loyalty by remaining in the queen's sidde throughout the journey. It is a great book. Good read.

The reviewer beautifully captures the way this novel is showing female strength - with the message that our gender does not define our strengths or weaknesses. I like that the reader gets emotionally attached when reading, that humour is present, that characteristics like courage and wisdom and loyalty are highly present.

Thanks for the great review. A book that focuses on women and what they can achieve if they look beyond their frailties. I'm sure that this book will encourage most females to soar up to their full potential. However, I must admit that to be great and soar above the average require skills and competencies that should be developed from a young age, so I'm also looking forward to reading about the qualities that distinguished the female leaders in this story.

Queen of Highwings is a daring fantasy adventure filled with emotion and tension, both fantasy and science fiction. Stakes were high, and we will wait on the edge of our seats to see how the story ends in the next book, Borealis, which Elia is working on now.

A fiction novel is always interesting to read. It Will be interesting to know more who the real queen is. She must be very courages woman because the destiny of the kingdom rely on her shoulders. I always believe woman can be very tender person but on the other hand can be very tough and strong. Congrats&GBU
