We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies is a book written by Matthew Tysz. There is a mixture of violence, drama, sarcastic humor, magic, and politics. The three sons of the Emperor of Lullabies are in charge of the three separate nations comprising the Land of the Princes. The emperor split the nation into three to avoid war between these sons. However, this does not satisfy their insatiable appetites, so every part of their nation experiences conflicts, sorrow, and anguish.

Galen Bray is an orphan originally from the Land of the Princes. He left the Land of the Princes to manage his uncle's forge at Voulhire. Meanwhile, King Wilhelm of Voulhire is attempting to mend the tragic history of Hillport town by appointing Lord Eldus Alderman. But given that Meldorath, the king's foe, is rumored to be on the run, would this be feasible? What function does Meldorath serve here? What part will Galen play in all of this?

This novel is suspenseful. I kept guessing what would happen or how things would turn out. That is what adds interest to the story. My attention was always focused on what would happen. The author did a fantastic job of detailing each action and occurrence. My favorite fictional character is Lord Eldus. He is modest and mindful of his neighborhood. Sadly, despite my great hopes for him, he didn't come out as I had imagined. This extraordinary novel will capture the reader's interest. Also, I liked how the author provided a glossary at the conclusion, so readers won't have to be concerned about the novel's strange vocabulary.

Although I liked most of the things in the book, there was one aspect of it that I didn't like. The pace of the story dropped as I read through. The story became dull and boring.

I saw a few grammatical errors in the book. Therefore, the editing was nice. I'll rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because It was enjoyable for me to read it. If you enjoy fantasy fiction, this book is for you.
