The main character, Galen, is a straightforward man who lives in a despotic nation. Galen is fortunate enough to manage his escape from the kingdom of the princes after spending nearly 20 years there. He is at last free, but he has no idea about the adventures that await him. The emperor of Voulhire is loving and sensible. But is that all he is? What sort of buried stories could be found beneath his beaming face? The past two nasty and cruel lords' rule brought suffering to the little city of Hillport. Hillport's citizens must find a new lord to rule the city. A dependable friend of the monarch, Eldus Alderman, is dispatched to manage the affairs of the city. Will there be no obstacles in the way of him fulfilling his actual purpose? Read Matt Tysz's We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies to find out more.

I find the plot of this book compelling. What makes it so compelling is how all the stories from all perspectives are told side by side and somehow relate to one another. I love how the titles at the beginning of the chapters make it simple to identify whose viewpoint I am reading. I like the author's detailed style, which includes descriptions of the characters' personalities, appearances, and settings.

The reference guide at the end and the map at the beginning are both crucial. The story seems much more vivid thanks to the map. Rowan's hilarious persona was enjoyable.

There was nothing in the book that could be criticized. There are no spelling or grammatical errors. The book appears to have been exceptionally well-edited.

I give the book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars due to its excellent plot, presentation, and editing. We are The Voulhire series is appropriate for people who enjoy historical fiction including kings and kingdoms, magic, and thrillers.
