Do you think mankind will get to a point where the resources needed to support life will be no more, considering the rate of population increase?

In Jack Hammond's novel, "Eclipse 8," humanity has depleted all the accessible resources necessary for sustaining life within its galaxy and has turned to extracting resources from neighboring galaxies. President Hays is saddled with the responsibility to select the best exploration team members and give them enough training that will allow them to pass through the black hole to another galaxy, collect information about the possible existence of other galaxies that could support life, and return to Earth. If this mission fails, humanity may seek an exit. Hays is the president of Lunar Intergalactic Higher Transportation, an agency founded to spearhead this exploration of other galaxies. As the story in this book unfolds, we notice that Hays only tells the public what he wants them to know about the mission. Was this mission a success? Will the secret that Hays was hiding from the public eventually leak? The rest of this book has an answer.

The story in this book comes with lots of motivation and a call not to give up in life. President Hays and Captain Owen did not find it easy assembling the space exploration crew, but they didn't give up despite the rejections until they found the right team. The story in this book is suspenseful. Can you imagine what it looks like to lead an expedition into uncertainty? This is the situation Captain Owen found himself in. He is my favorite character in this book because of his composure in times of trouble and his leadership skills.

The only thing that didn't sit well with me about this book was the character development. Most of the roles in this book were played by President Hays, Captain Owen, and First Officer Lead. I feel the other characters could have been featured more.

I learned from this book that most times, agencies are not as transparent as they appear; they only feed the public what they want them to know. Also, a company is only as good as the quality of its workforce, which is why President Hays and Captain Owen spent a greater part of their time recruiting the best personnel for this space exploration.

The storyline in this book is one of the best I have read so far. I didn't have many doubts as I progressed through the story because it was very well coordinated. The editing of this book is flawless because there are no errors in it. I am happy to award this book a five out of five stars rating.

I am recommending this book to anyone interested in space travel and exploration. Also, human resources officers have a lot to learn from Hays and Owen on how to pick the best candidate to fill a position.

Mimsy is a very lovable rabbit who is looking for a new home. She has to go through a lot of trials and tribulations to find the perfect home. The illustrations are very cute and the story is very heartwarming. I would recommend this book for younger readers.

I really enjoy science fiction. A novel involving space exploration and a search for further resources seems interesting. I’ve always suspected that politicians only give us the information that they want us to have. Thanks!

Waaw!! I don't believe mankind can exhaust all resources in this present planet, but if it does as described in this book that would be serious.

Is Hays a good or bad character? What he kept from the public was it for their benefit or not? Your review left me with more questions that compel me to read the book. Nice review.

I some time stumbled upon a book about space travel, and I'd say it is not my go-to genre but if written properly, it'll captive the minds of the readers. Awesome review.

The idea that agencies may not always be transparent and that companies are only as good as their workforce are thought-provoking takeaways from the book. It's interesting to consider these concepts in the context of real-world scenarios and the importance of effective leadership and personnel selection.
